think of vocaloid like... finale notepad...
but then again... i wouldn't expect you to know what that is...
basically... it's a music writing program, you fill in notes, sharps, flats, time signatures, and what not... then you can play it out and it plays your custom song....
i write piano songs with it...

vocaloid is similar to this....
except it's vocals, the voice here is computerized... not an actual person... so yeah... write your own music... have vocaloid sing it... GREAT SUCCESS!
